The EuroMedLab Conference is a prestigious global event that focuses on laboratory medicine and diagnostics. It serves as a gathering for scientists, researchers, clinicians, industry experts, and policymakers from Europe and around the world. The conference took place in Rome from May 21 to 24, 2023, and featured a comprehensive program consisting of keynote lectures, symposia, workshops, poster sessions, and an exhibition.

The primary goal of the congress is to facilitate the exchange of knowledge, the presentation of research findings, and the exploration of emerging trends in diagnostics, clinical chemistry, and laboratory medicine. This year's conference placed significant emphasis on the transformative role of artificial intelligence (AI) in the field. AI has rapidly gained prominence across various industries, including healthcare, and it holds immense potential to revolutionize diagnostics, enhance patient care, and improve operational efficiency in laboratory medicine. Throughout the congress, numerous sessions and presentations highlighted the importance of AI, particularly in clinical decision support systems, such as the ones offered by SBAS products. SBAS clinical decision support solutions have the capacity to greatly enhance diagnostic processes, empowering doctors to make more precise and timely decisions. This, in turn, leads to improved patient outcomes and reduced costs within the healthcare system. As AI continues to evolve, its integration into laboratory medicine is expected to reshape the approaches of healthcare professionals to diagnostics and patient care.

For the SBAS team, attending the conference was a delightful experience that allowed us to explore and gain insights into the latest advancements in clinical laboratory science. We had the opportunity to network and engage with other participants, forging valuable connections in the process.
